During development, it became clear that one sodium concentration could not reflect every type of activity. A person completing a shorter training session does not necessarily have the same requirements as someone exercising for several hours or losing large amounts of salt through sweat.
That understanding led to two distinct hydration profiles.
A higher-sodium formula developed for prolonged training, endurance exercise and situations involving higher sweat and sodium losses.

Jakub is a microbiologist and molecular biologist with more than 15 years of experience in biotechnology, life sciences and research and development.
For PURR, his work transformed the original concept into a complete technical formulation, covering electrolyte architecture, buffering systems, osmolarity, ingredient compatibility, production instructions and labelling guidance.
He has extensive experience in food technology and functional formulations and has developed numerous formulations for the food, beverage and dietary supplement industries. He has also contributed to scientific publications spanning molecular biology, mathematical modelling, biochemistry, microbiology and food technology.
